Overview
We’re looking for an experienced In - Office Sales Representative with a background in debt relief and personal loan consolidation to join our Financial Services team. As a Debt Settlement Specialist, you’ll generate new business by connecting with prospective clients, understanding their financial situation, and recommending tailored debt relief solutions that help them move toward their goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively contact potential clients and present debt consolidation and/or debt resolution programs.
- Consult with clients to assess their needs and build customized solutions.
- Stay current on relevant industry updates, market changes, and regulatory requirements.
- Speak with customers who are behind on payments and negotiate repayment or settlement options.
- Educate customers on available debt settlement paths and guide them toward the best next step.
- Respond to inquiries quickly, professionally, and consistently while treating all customers fairly.
- Negotiate settlements within established guidelines and company policy.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client conversations, negotiations, and payment arrangements.
- Meet monthly performance goals for call volume, successful negotiations, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with teammates to improve workflows, processes, and the overall customer experience.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of sales experience (or a related field).
- 2+ years of experience in debt consolidation and/or debt resolution.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High motivation, positive attitude, and strong people skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and active listening skills.
- Strong time management and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
