Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Pickup and Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to meet the needs of our clients and support our operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles for pickup and delivery routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Drive designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, including assisting with loading/unloading and addressing customer inquiries.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving inventory, organizing stock, and preparing shipments as needed.
- Follow route schedules to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
Requirements
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving experience.
- Ability to operate box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform moving tasks safely.
- Warehouse experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, moving, and vehicle operation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
- Prior experience with heavy lifting, load & unload operations, and route driving is preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour
