Can you climb up to 200 rungs per hour, access confined spaces, and work methodically in noisy, dusty, and all-weather conditions? Are you respirator fit, PPE-ready, and relentless about safety? Test and inspect boiler systems to locate leaks or defects, then execute corrective work.

Replace/repair valves with the right hand and power tools.

Use gas torches expertly for cutting and heating during fabrication/repair.

Clean boilers, boiler furnaces, and pressure vessel equipment with scrapers, wire brushes, and solvents.

Inspect assembled vessels and components—tubes, fittings, valves, controls, and auxiliary mechanisms—for integrity.

Install manholes, handholes, taps, tubes, valves, gauges, and feedwater connections in water-tube boiler drums.

Install refractory brick in fireboxes to spec.

Translate drawings into action—determine locations, positions, and dimensions from blueprints with precision.

Ability to read, interpret, and follow procedures; strong fluency with specifications and drawings.

Dedicated PPE use and successful respirator fit.

Safety-first mindset throughout all project phases.

Walk to, from, and between assigned areas all shift long.

Handle noise, fumes, dust, and harsh weather environments.

Work overtime when production demands rise; must be able to work 60+ hours/week.

(Preferred) 8 years of boiler, heat exchanger, and valve repair experience.

Refractory bricklaying experience in industrial settings such as cement plants, steel mills, and power plants.

Ability to obtain DBIDS/TWIC credentials.

Open-air sites with hot/cold conditions and office-controlled spaces.

Projects aboard ships and rigs, both on and offshore, often in confined spaces.

Expect bending, crouching, standing on varied surfaces/angles, and climbing over scaffolding, ladders, and internal barge/boat structures.

Some travel required.
