Pay: $18–$25 per hour (based on experience and capabilities)
Schedule: Flexible afternoons, evenings, and weekends

School of Rock East Hartford is hiring a Drum Instructor to join our high-energy, performance-based music school. Our instructors help students develop real-world musicianship, confidence, and stage presence through lessons, rehearsals, and live performance.
This is a great opportunity to start with a small teaching schedule and grow into a larger or lead role as our student base continues to expand.
Responsibilities
- Teach drum lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
- Instruct proper technique, timing, groove, and musicality
- Prepare students for live performances and rehearsals
- Support band programs and group rehearsals as needed
- Track student progress and communicate with parents and staff
- Maintain a positive, professional, and inclusive studio environment
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency on drums
- Teaching, coaching, or live performance experience preferred
- Great with kids and teens — patient, encouraging, and energetic
- Reliable, organized, and professional
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, music-filled environment
