Job Overview
We are seeking skilled HVAC Mechanics to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction experience, mechanical depth and a commitment to delivering on deadlines, commitments, while following quality and code requirements. Our work is primarily New Construction or Rehab construction in commercial settings and we are installing hot water, chilled water, sheet metal, gas piping, refrigerant piping, equipment and systems, controls, valves and fittings, etc. We work in large teams with multiple skill sets on each team. We expect the ideal candidate to be familiar with welding, brazing, press tools, cutters, benders, safety standards, and sheet metal fabrication standards. This is a full time + position and we are only looking for career oriented individuals. Expect to be overbooked.
Duties
- Install HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings according to plans and blue prints.
- Review installation on startup and potentially repair HVAC units to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects according to plans and specifications in a fast and safe manner.
- Review and read installation manuals for all systems to ensure the team utilizes best practices and manufacturer required steps to installation of all products and equipment. Contact tech support to ensure the best course of actions are followed.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations, meet with inspectors and commissioners and ensure our installation meets quality expectations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Review the project in weekly meetings with other trades and the client.
- Ordering and takeoff of materials. Keeping materials/equipment needed on hand before it needs to go up in the air.
- Responsible for job site tools, equipment, and vehicle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC Installer and foreman.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to HVAC/R systems, including air conditioning, heating, plumbing, and boiler systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams for system design and installation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality work.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Valid driver's license is preferred for travel between job sites.
- Certification or relevant training in HVAC technology is a plus but not mandatory.
We are a fast growing and very steady contractor. We do not have slow downs and we do not lay off. We work construction and we are always at full time 52 weeks a year. We are looking for long term commitments only.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
