Duties
- Safely handle and transport food orders from the kitchen to dining areas, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
- Assist with food preparation and plating when needed, maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
- Clear and bus tables efficiently, removing used dishes and maintaining a tidy dining space to enhance guest comfort.
- Support the kitchen team with manual handling tasks, heavy lifting, and safe lifting practices to facilitate smooth operations.
- Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and guests to coordinate timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness by assisting with general cleaning duties, including food handling areas, service stations, and dining spaces.
- Support banquet or special event setups by delivering food promptly and assisting with guest services as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality environments.
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices.
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with team members and guests.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing.
- Experience in food running, serving, bussing tables, or guest services in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of culinary processes or kitchen experience is a plus for understanding food flow.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Prior hotel or banquet experience is advantageous for supporting diverse service needs.
