Associate Therapist
Private practice looking to hire 1-2 paid Associate Therapists (ACSW, APCC or AMFT) to complete their pre-license hours and get a head start in creating their own private practice!
As an Associate Therapist you will play a crucial role in providing vital support to individuals and families in need. Responsibilities
- Maintain a caseload of 5-15 clients per week within 90 days of start date
- Must possess own technology to communicate and perform virtual therapy sessions (smartphone, laptop, desktop, and/or tablet).
- Must be motivated to perform the requisite tasks of marketing and promoting as if this is your own practice
- Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
- Complete and maintain accurate client records, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions to support clients in addressing relationship issues, mental health concerns, and family dynamics.
- Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to clients and their families.
- Demonstrate empathy, active listening, and cultural competence in client interactions to establish trust and create a safe therapeutic environment.
- Participate in ongoing supervision and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills, knowledge, and expertise in the field of marriage and family therapy.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines outlined by relevant professional organizations and licensing bodies.
- Engage in self-care practices and seek support as needed to prevent burnout and promote personal well-being while working with clients in challenging situations.
Requirements
- Active associate registration number through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, demonstrating compliance with pre-licensure requirements.
- Proficiency in providing psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families under supervision as per the guidelines of the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- Demonstrated competency in mental health counseling and the ability to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for clients.
- Competency in couples and family counseling, with the skills to navigate relationship challenges and facilitate effective communication between partners and family members.
- Strong ability in comprehensive note-taking, maintaining accurate and detailed client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Proficiency in conducting individual therapy sessions, providing personalized interventions to address clients' unique needs and goals
- Sound understanding of ethical guidelines and professional standards in the field of psychotherapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a therapeutic alliance with clients and collaborating effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
- Must possess own technology sufficient for conducting virtual therapy sessions and communication (laptop, desktop, tablet and/or smartphone)
