American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Home Health position in Massachusetts, requiring active MA licensure in hand and certified home health experience with OASIS proficiency.

Home health setting providing nursing care to patients in their homes

Caseload-based work with self-scheduling of patient visits preferred

On-call responsibilities are required for this position

Flexibility in work hours and varied assignments is expected

Active MA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration — license will not be pending

Current AHA BLS certification required

Minimum one year of acute care nursing experience required; hospital-based experience preferred

Home health nursing experience required

Certified Home Health Nurse (CHHN) certification required, including demonstrated proficiency with OASIS

Infusion Therapy Certification preferred

BSN highly preferred
-
Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required; must be able to drive in inclement weather

Auto insurance required

One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required

Current Home Health RN skills checklist (within the past year) required for consideration

Responsibilities include providing, teaching, supervising, and documenting nursing care for patients in the home setting

Collaborates with healthcare providers, professionals, and community representatives to coordinate patient care
-
Evaluates patient and family responses to nursing interventions and adjusts care plans accordingly

Working knowledge of home care reimbursement and regulatory guidelines is necessary to effectively provide care

Must demonstrate critical thinking skills, emotional stability in emergency situations, and the ability to act independently under general supervision

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

No more than 5 days of RTO will be considered, and all scheduling requests must be submitted prior to offer — requests made at or after offer may result in a rescinded offer
