Duties
- Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims accurately using electronic health records (EHR) systems and third-party billing software.
- Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility prior to service delivery.
- Manage accounts receivable by tracking outstanding payments and following up with insurance companies or patients as needed.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, managed care policies, and insurance requirements during billing processes.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, insurance providers, and patients via phone or written correspondence to resolve billing issues.
- Maintain detailed records of billing transactions, payment histories, and client communications for audit purposes.
- Assist with revenue cycle management by analyzing billing data to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in healthcare administrative roles with a focus on medical billing or revenue cycle management.
- Strong knowledge of health insurance plans, managed care policies, and third-party billing procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for documentation and reporting tasks.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and electronic billing platforms.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and typing speed; attention to detail is essential.
- Exceptional customer service skills to handle client inquiries professionally via phone or written communication.
- Understanding of medical terminology, insurance coding (such as ICD or CPT codes), and compliance standards within healthcare billing.
- Ability to manage schedules effectively, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with internal teams for smooth operations.

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Medical billing: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
