We are seeking an experienced Field Hardware Support & Repair Technician to provide onsite technical support and warranty-based repair services for branded hardware and connected equipment. This role is focused on hands-on diagnostics, component replacement, and service validation in customer environments, ensuring equipment is restored to proper working condition in accordance with service and warranty requirements.
This position is ideal for technicians who are comfortable working independently in the field, following defined service procedures, and representing a professional service organization during onsite customer interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform onsite inspections, diagnostics, and functional testing of hardware and equipment
- Identify faults, failures, or degraded performance and determine appropriate corrective action
- Complete hardware repairs, part replacements, or adjustments within warranty and service scope
- Verify proper operation post-repair and document outcomes accurately
- Follow service guidelines, safety requirements, and quality standards during all work
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding findings, completed work, and next steps
- Maintain detailed service records, including labor performed, parts used, and job status updates
- Escalate complex issues when required and support follow-up actions as needed
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in field-based hardware support, repair, or technical services
- Strong troubleshooting skills across physical devices, peripherals, or integrated systems
- Ability to interpret service instructions, work orders, and warranty guidelines
- High attention to detail in both technical work and documentation
- Professional communication skills and customer-facing confidence
- Ability to manage time effectively across multiple assignments or service calls
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting equipment under warranty or service contracts
- Experience working in client locations such as offices, retail, healthcare, or light industrial sites
- Familiarity with structured work order platforms or service management tools
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

Engagement Model
This role is typically engaged on an as-needed or project-based basis and may run parallel to other field service work, depending on availability and demand.
