Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems, including powertrain, electrical, suspension, and transmission.
- Repair and maintain vehicles by replacing or repairing components such as engines, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, and electrical wiring according to manufacturer specifications.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot complex electrical problems effectively.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs efficiently and accurately.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid replacements, and system inspections.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Skills
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Proficiency in interpreting automotive wiring diagrams and schematics for electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience working with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology and calibrations.
- Skilled in using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues quickly and accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge of powertrain components, vehicle transmission systems, diesel engines, and vehicle suspension systems.
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes for repairs and parts ordering.
- Ability to work with various hand tools, power tools,and automotive repair machinery safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, vehicle systems integration, and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a keen eye for detail in diagnosing mechanical or electrical faults.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with effective communication skills to explain technical issues clearly.
