Overview
We are seeking motivated and compassionate Polish-speaking Caregivers to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide essential support to clients requiring assistance with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional well-being. Your linguistic skills will enable effective communication with Russian-speaking patients and their families, ensuring culturally sensitive care that promotes comfort and trust.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals promptly.
- Administer medications accurately in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation, especially for individuals with dementia or memory impairments.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and cultural preferences while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area.
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe patient transfers and prevent injury.
- Follow established care plans meticulously, documenting observations and interventions clearly for ongoing assessment.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Polish is required; proficiency in English is preferred for effective communication with team members.
- Prior experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and basic life support techniques; certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer’s disease, or dementia.
- Experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient observation protocols.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining care documentation and adhering to privacy standards like HIPAA. Pay: $19.65 - $21.00 per hour
