American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 41-bed inpatient Cardiac Telemetry/Progressive/Respiratory Care unit, with BLS and ACLS required.

Work is performed on a 41-bed inpatient Cardiac Telemetry/Progressive/Respiratory Care unit on the fourth floor of the hospital

Patient population includes medical and surgical patients with cardiac dysrhythmia, respiratory illness, and/or significantly altered hemodynamics requiring cardiac monitoring, as well as respiratory illness cases

Day shift, 12-hour shifts (0700–1930)

36 hours per week, 3 days per week

Weekend and holiday coverage required with no special scheduling accommodations

13-week contract

Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand
-
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred

Ability to assess age-specific patient safety considerations and implement appropriate safety measures

Proficiency with computer systems and clinical applications, or ability to be trained

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, direct patient care, and coordinating admission, transfer, and discharge activities

Provides patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning
-
Delegates tasks appropriately and monitors team members' performance in patient care activities
-
Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTI reduction, and documentation auditing
