Willing to travel to Dorado. However there could be potential opportunities in the San Juan Metro area.
Responsibilities:
- Provide private tutoring, and need an educational background for a committed weekday or weekend in various subjects onsite, including but not limited to math, science, English, social studies, and more, depending on the need.
- Assess students' academic needs and develop personalized learning plans to address their specific areas of improvement.
- Utilize educational resources to enhance students' understanding and engagement.
- Assist students with homework assignments, test preparation, and project completion.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals to ensure students' academic success.
- Monitor students' progress and provide regular feedback on their performance.
Skills:
- References in education - Strong curriculum development and lesson planning knowledge.
- Experience working with children of different age groups, including preschool , highschool and in some cases adults with specific needs such as standardized tests or Spanish as a second lanuguage.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet each student's individual needs and learning styles.
- Familiarity with special education techniques and accommodations for students with learning disabilities, if needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Patience, empathy, and creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Proficiency in using the school's educational software and online learning platforms, if needed.
Note: Prior experience in tutoring or teaching is preferred. English and Spanish proficiency are mandatory. This is an in-person position and requires travel.
