American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital setting in Urbana, IL, with new graduates welcome and Epic EMR experience required.

Acute care hospital therapy unit

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM schedule
-
40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
-
Weekend and holiday shifts on a PRN/as-needed basis
-
No floating requirements

Epic EMR required
-
Level 1 Trauma experience required

Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required
-
Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) license required; license required if applicable

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required

Epic EMR experience required

Level 1 Trauma experience required

Ability to perform patient transfers with assistance as needed

Skills in clinical documentation, PT diagnosis, examination methods, screening procedures, intervention planning, standardized outcomes measurement, family training, and medical team collaboration

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients of all ages, modifying the plan of care as appropriate

Designs individualized plans of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge planning

Educates patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers using relevant teaching methods
-
Provides supervision to PTAs and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with regulatory guidelines
-
Communicates patient status, activity recommendations, and discharge disposition needs clearly with the medical team

Utilizes standardized outcomes measures to accurately reflect functional performance
-
Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
-
Time off requests may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract

Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 continuous year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning
