- Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using RESY.
- Provide menus and answer any initial questions guests may have about the menu or restaurant offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including the host stand and waiting areas.
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, striving to enhance guest relations.
- Assist with phone etiquette by taking reservations or answering questions over the phone as needed.
- Support serving staff during peak hours by assisting with food delivery or clearing tables when necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous host/host experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred.
- Strong background in food service and hospitality, with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Resy and Toast
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong phone etiquette skills for handling guest inquiries over the phone.
