Responsibilities

- Assist with food handling, slicing techniques, and knife skills to optimize efficiency and safety in food prep
- Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with safety standards and dietary guidelines, including dietary department and aide protocols
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours and support catering or special event needs
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant kitchens with a solid understanding of kitchen operations
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments
- Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for various ingredients
- Familiarity with food handling procedures, meal preparation, and food service operations
- Experience working within the food industry or culinary environment, including dietary or catering settings
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and menu plans while maintaining efficiency under pressure
