Position OverviewThe Senior Floral Designer is a key leadership role within our studio, responsible for executing high-level floral designs, overseeing event production, mentoring team members, and ensuring exceptional quality across all projects.
This individual is both highly creative and highly organized, capable of leading design installations, managing production timelines, and maintaining the elevated standards that define our brand.
The ideal candidate has extensive floral design experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to contribute to the continued growth of a creative small business.
ResponsibilitiesFloral Design & Production
- Design and create inspiring floral arrangements for weddings, events, accounts, installations, and retail orders.
- Execute floral designs consistent with Casa V Floral's aesthetic and quality standards.
- Create large-scale installations including arches, suspended designs, ceremony structures, and statement centerpieces.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient studio environment.
- Process, condition, and care for fresh floral inventory.
- Troubleshoot design and logistical challenges during production and installation.
Event Leadership
- Lead event production and installation teams on-site in partnership with owner
- Ensure events are executed according to design plans, timelines, and client expectations.
- Serve as a professional representative of the company when interacting with venues, vendors, and clients.
Team Leadership
- Train and mentor junior team members
- Delegate production tasks effectively.
- Maintain a positive, collaborative team culture.
- Assist with workflow planning and daily studio operations.
- Uphold company standards for quality, efficiency, and customer service.
Inventory & Studio Management
- Assist with recipe creation and floral ordering.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs.
- Care for vessels, mechanics, tools, and studio equipment.
- Support systems that improve organization and operational efficiency.
Client Experience
- Participate in client consultations, mockups and meetings when needed.
- Assist in translating floral proposals into production plans.
- Ensure every floral piece reflects the client's vision while maintaining our design integrity.
QualificationsRequired
- 4+ years of professional floral design experience.
- Extensive experience with weddings and event florals.
- Strong knowledge of flower varieties, seasonality, processing, and mechanics.
- Experience leading installations and production teams.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders during installations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred
- Experience leading event production schedules.
- Familiarity with luxury weddings and high-end events.
- Experience training or supervising team members.
- Interest in sustainable and locally sourced florals.
