- Plan and lead engaging daily activities, events, games, crafts, exercise programs, and special celebrations.
- Create monthly activity calendars that encourage participation and enrich residents' lives.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents while promoting socialization, independence, and purpose.
- Encourage participation using creativity, compassion, and person-centered approaches.
- Coordinate holiday celebrations, community events, entertainment, and outings.
- Maintain activity supplies, equipment, and common areas to ensure they're organized and welcoming.
- Transport residents to appointments, outings, and community events as needed.
- Partner with families, volunteers, and local organizations to create memorable experiences.
- Previous experience in senior living, activities, recreation, or customer service is preferred.
- A positive, outgoing personality with a passion for working with older adults.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative thinking and the ability to lead engaging group activities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and willingness to drive a passenger van.
- Ability to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
