Job Summary
Gemini Valve is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector / CMM Operator to support our precision manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for verifying product quality using automated and manual CMM equipment, performing incoming inspections, and working closely with production and quality engineering teams to ensure parts meet customer and company requirements.
CMM Inspection
- Operate automated and manual CMM equipment to inspect machined components.
- Load parts, select appropriate programs, and run inspections safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine daily and monthly calibration and verification checks on CMM equipment.
- Interpret inspection data and clearly communicate results to machine cell leads for process adjustments.
- Identify and document nonconforming parts and escalate issues to the Quality Department.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineers to test and validate new CMM inspection programs.
Incoming Inspection
- Inspect incoming purchased components to ensure they meet specified quality and dimensional requirements.
- Verify received quantities against purchase orders and packing documentation.
- Document and communicate discrepancies or nonconformances to the Quality Department.
Quality & Production Support
- Assist machine operators with first article inspections to verify setups and ensure parts meet specifications.
- Support Quality Engineers with inspections, investigations, and resolution of quality issues.
- Help maintain high standards of product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Qualifications:
- 2+ Years of CMM Operation
- Experience working in a CNC machining environment
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints
- Strong experience using precision measurement tools, including:
o Micrometers
o Calipers
o Height gages
o Bore gages
o Pin gages / plug gages
o Thread gages
- Experience performing first article inspections and documenting inspection results.
- Ability to interpret inspection data and communicate findings clearly to production personnel and quality engineers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
