About Totalline Operations Group
Totalline Operations Group is a growing operations and supply chain company based in Elkhart, Indiana. We specialize in facility operations, warehouse management, light manufacturing, OEM program management, logistics, distribution, quality support, and turnkey operational services for leading manufacturers and brands across North America.
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to establish and lead our Indiana operating hub. This is a ground-floor leadership opportunity for someone who can build structure, lead people, support OEM customers, and turn a new operation into a disciplined, scalable business.
Position Summary
The General Manager will be responsible for building and running Totalline’s Indiana office, warehouse, distribution, light assembly, logistics, quality, customer support, and administrative operations. The role will include facility leadership, team building, operating process development, customer and OEM coordination, vendor and logistics support, reporting discipline, and local business development support.
This is not a maintenance role inside a fully mature organization. The right candidate will be expected to create the operating system, build the team, establish the cadence, and become the local leader who can run the business with ownership-level accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Facility & Operations Leadership
- Lead day-to-day operations of the Indiana office, warehouse, distribution, light assembly, and operating hub.
- Establish facility readiness, safety, cleanliness, security, access control, equipment readiness, staffing coverage, and daily operating rhythm.
- Develop and continuously improve operating procedures, work instructions, workflows, reporting templates, and KPI dashboards.
- Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-moving startup-style environment.
Warehouse, Inventory & Logistics Management
- Own receiving, storage, labeling, picking, packing, staging, shipping, cycle counts, bin control, discrepancy reporting, and inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, freight partners, customs brokers, vendors, suppliers, factories, warehouses, and customer teams.
- Support procurement coordination, shipment records, delivery schedules, shortage reporting, late shipment escalation, and material movement activities.
- Manage approved light assembly, kitting, product handling, sample preparation, and distribution activities.
Customer, OEM & Business Development
- Serve as the key local contact for designated OEM customers and prospects in Elkhart, northern Indiana, and nearby markets.
- Support customer meetings, product presentations, samples, program launches, follow-up communications, market intelligence, and relationship development.
- Represent Totalline and its key clients professionally while protecting operating priorities, customer commitments, and confidentiality obligations.
- Identify, pursue, and support local business development opportunities while maintaining disciplined execution for existing customer and partner programs.
Business Development & Market Growth
- Develop and strengthen local relationships with OEM customers, manufacturers, dealers, suppliers, and strategic partners in the Elkhart / Northern Indiana market.
- Identify new customer opportunities, support product presentations, coordinate samples, gather market intelligence, and help convert opportunities into disciplined operating programs.
- Work with ownership and key clients to support new program launches, account development, and long-term growth initiatives while maintaining operational focus and margin discipline.
People Leadership & Culture
- Recruit, hire, onboard, train, schedule, supervise, coach, manage performance, and help build a strong local team.
- Develop a professional, accountable, safe, customer-focused culture with clear expectations and consistent communication.
- Lead warehouse, assembly, logistics, administrative, quality, and support personnel as the business scales.
Quality, Reporting & Performance Management
- Build quality processes for inbound inspection, non-conforming goods, shortages, damage reporting, testing support, product checks, returns, warranty documentation, and corrective action follow-through.
- Support approved budgets, service-level targets, margin/expense discipline, staffing plans, inventory accuracy, shipping performance, quality performance, safety metrics, and customer satisfaction targets.
- Maintain strong reporting discipline with weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational updates as required by ownership and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, warehouse management, logistics, distribution, supply chain, product development, OEM program management, or a closely related environment.
- Experience managing teams in a fast-paced operational or manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics coordination, process improvement, and customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to build systems, processes, teams, and reporting discipline from the ground up.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with OEM customers, RV/marine manufacturers, specialty vehicle manufacturers, or related manufacturing markets is considered a strong asset.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on leadership role where priorities can shift and structure is still being built.
- High integrity, strong judgment, and the ability to manage confidential information and multi-stakeholder relationships professionally.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a builder, not just a manager. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable walking the warehouse floor, meeting with OEM customers, solving a logistics issue, building a team structure, reviewing KPIs, and communicating directly with ownership.
- Creates structure in ambiguous situations.
- Brings both customer-facing confidence and operational discipline.
- Understands that customer service and margin control must work together.
- Takes ownership, follows through, and communicates early when risks appear.
- Has the maturity to work with ownership, brand partners, OEM customers, suppliers, and employees without losing operational focus.
