Our mission is to showcase the incredible food, wine, and more that Sonoma County has to offer. We specialize in hand-crafted wood fired and deck oven pizza (multiple styles), fresh salads, seasonal sides, and vegan/gluten free options to round out the menu. Everything is made from scratch with love! A local selection of wine, beer, craft cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages provide the perfect match for our cuisine. Now Hiring:
The Server position at Sonoma Pizza Company is an important position reporting directly to the General Manager. It's important to note that our starting wage is $18/hour + pooled tips that generally equal out to $30-$40/hour. The role is multi faceted and includes floor service as well as working the bar/counter making drinks and facilitating take out orders (experience bartending is a big plus). The right candidate should have a love of hospitality and have the experience to lead and share this enthusiasm with their co-workers and guests. We are looking for people who wants to grow in the industry and with our company. The ideal candidate loves engaging with guests and has the professional experience to help lead our team.

Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with experience in a full service restaurant. Applicants must have experience in food service interacting with guests, menu knowledge, and experience with a restaurant POS system. Other qualifications include, but are not limited to:
- Ability to embrace our core values and take ownership of job responsibilities
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Reliable and flexible under pressure
- Proven capability to lead by example
- Posses the desire to learn and grow professionally
- Must be available to work weekends including Sunday
- Experience with Toast POS or other cloud-based systems is a plus
- Must be able to work on feet for up to 8 hours and lift up to 40 lbs - or ask for support
Responsibilities
A Server's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Complete daily pre- and post- shift side work.
- Learn and understand all food, beverage and retail related products, including key ingredients, purveyor information, and allergy restrictions.
- Build rapport with guests and create a dynamic experience with thoughtful and intuitive relationship building.
- Create positive guest experiences by managing food and beverage orders, being aware of guests needs, and providing menu knowledge.
- Understand kitchen procedures related to running food and packaging to go orders.
- Manage conflict guest dissatisfaction with positivity, and with help from management. Always demonstrating courage and confidence with guests.
- Demonstrate ability to lift objects of 40 pounds or less and traverse stairways numerous times throughout a shift.
- Ability to perform all job duties including those responsibilities assigned to a busser such as clearing and setting tables, cleaning, stocking and polishing.
