Community Manager – Multifamily Housing
A growing property management organization is seeking an experienced and motivated Community Manager to oversee operations at a multifamily apartment community located in northwestern Illinois.
This role is ideal for a confident professional who enjoys leading a team, managing property operations, and building strong relationships with residents.
Position Details
Location: Northwestern Illinois
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $55,000 annually
Reports To: Regional Property Manager
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the apartment community
- Supervise and support on-site staff to maintain strong team performance
- Oversee leasing activity, occupancy goals, and resident satisfaction
- Monitor operating budgets and track property expenses
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and affordable housing guidelines
- Maintain accurate resident files and property documentation
Qualifications
- Previous property management experience required
- Leadership experience supervising on-site teams preferred
- Familiarity with LIHTC or affordable housing programs is a plus
- Experience with property management software such as Yardi preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
