Position Summary
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring product quality throughout the manufacturing process while supporting Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs to maintain regulatory compliance and a safe workplace. The role partners with Operations, Engineering, Suppliers, and Customers to drive continuous improvement and support quality and safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain quality standards, inspection plans, and control procedures.
- Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with customer and internal specifications.
- Investigate product defects, customer complaints, and non-conformances using root cause analysis and implement CAPA.
- Analyze quality KPIs and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct internal process and product audits.
- Support new product introductions through FMEA, Control Plans, Process Validation, APQP, and PPAP.
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve incoming material quality.
- Support and maintain ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)
- Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable environmental and safety regulations.
- Assist in maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Participate in safety inspections, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
- Promote safe work practices and support employee safety training.
- Assist with environmental compliance, waste management, and sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3–5 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001; ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949 experience is a plus.
- Experience with SPC, MSA, process capability, and quality tools (FMEA, APQP, PPAP, 8D, CAPA).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
Preferred Certifications
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- Certified Internal Auditor

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
