CNC Programmer
Precision manufacturing role for a creative programmer who enjoys tough materials, complex geometries, and real shop-floor problem solving.
Position Overview
We are looking for a CNC Programmer who is not afraid to take on tough materials, complex geometries, tight tolerances, and challenging production problems. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical skill with curiosity, creativity, and excellent communication—and who enjoys turning difficult parts into reliable, repeatable manufacturing processes.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of programming complex machined components, developing effective work holding strategies, supporting setup and prove-out, and helping the team produce high-quality parts safely, efficiently, and consistently. We want someone who can think through the full manufacturing challenge—not just write code, but help create the best path from print to finished part.
What You Will Do
· Create, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for complex precision machined components, fixtures, and tooling, including challenging materials and difficult part geometries.
· Develop smart, practical manufacturing strategies that balance quality, safety, cycle time, tool life, and repeatability.
· Evaluate part geometry, material behavior, tooling options, machine capabilities, and setup constraints to develop efficient and reliable machining approaches.
· Collaborate with engineering, quality, purchasing, estimating, and production to turn customer requirements into clear, executable manufacturing plans.
· Design or support the development of effective work holding, shop aids, setup methods, and process documentation.
· Support first article, prove-out, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities on the shop floor.
· Create clear setup sheets, tool lists, work instructions, and documentation that help machinists succeed.
· Use data, feedback, and hands-on observation to reduce scrap, improve flow, and strengthen process reliability.
· Research tooling, programming techniques, materials, software capabilities, and manufacturing best practices to keep our processes moving forward.
· Communicate openly with team members, vendors, and leadership to solve problems before they become delays.

Preferred Qualifications
· Five or more years of CNC programming experience, with advanced experience in complex precision machining strongly preferred.
· Experience in aerospace, defense, medical, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
· Technical degree, trade school certificate, apprenticeship, software training, or equivalent hands-on experience.
· Demonstrated record of improving cycle time, reducing scrap, improving setup reliability, developing better work holding, or solving difficult production problems.
· Experience mentoring machinists, supporting training, or helping build stronger manufacturing standards.
Work Environment and Expectations
This is an on-site manufacturing role that includes both programming work and direct support of the shop floor. The position may involve sitting for programming tasks, walking the production floor, reviewing setups, communicating with team members, and occasionally standing, lifting, or working near normal shop noise. Safety, quality, respect for others, and continuous improvement are expected every day.
Pay: $31.00 - $40.00 per hour
