Automotive Service Technician – Trade the Traffic for Open Skies
Ready to leave the endless city gridlock behind and build a genuinely better quality of life?
If you’re a skilled technician tired of crowded morning commutes, hyper-stressed shops, and the high cost of city living, this is your turning point. At Michelle Radley Chevrolet in historic Leesburg, Virginia, we offer something entirely different: room to breathe, a modern facility, and a rewarding career adjacent to Northern Virginia’s beautiful horse country and mountain trails.
We aren’t just offering a job; we are offering a lifestyle upgrade.
Why Make the Move to Leesburg?
Imagine finishing your shift and being minutes away from:
- Open Countryside: Trade bumper-to-bumper city traffic for scenic, rolling hills and open roads.
- Outdoor Recreation: World-class hiking on the Appalachian Trail, floating or fishing the Potomac River, and exploring local parks.
- The Best of Both Worlds: Leesburg offers historic charm, fantastic schools, and incredible local restaurants—all while keeping you close enough to the DC metro area if you ever want a weekend visit.
- A Family-First Pace: Work in a supportive community with a stable, transparent family business that treats you like an asset, not a number.
What You’ll Do
As a core member of our service team, you will:
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of vehicles, focusing on our premier Chevrolet lineup (from commuter EVs to heavy-duty Silverado trucks).
- Utilize advanced factory diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and computer-driven systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, multi-point safety inspections, and recall updates.
- Clearly document your findings and repair recommendations for our service advisors.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient shop stall.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome skilled professionals from a variety of mechanical backgrounds. Our ideal candidate has:
- Proven Experience: Prior background as an Automotive Technician, Diesel Mechanic, Fleet Technician, or Mobile Service Specialist.
- Troubleshooting Mindset: Strong diagnostic skills and an ability to accurately solve modern electrical and engine performance problems.
- Tools of the Trade: Your own set of standard technician tools (we provide the specialized Chevy factory tools and heavy equipment).
- Professional Integrity: A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a strong work ethic.
- Chevrolet or GM certifications are a massive plus, but we are absolutely willing to train and sponsor certifications for the right talent.
Ideal for Technicians from: Independent repair facilities, franchise dealerships, commercial fleet operations, or military wheeled-vehicle maintenance backgrounds.
What We Offer
- Top-Tier Pay: Highly competitive hourly/flat-rate structures based directly on your experience and certifications.
- Health & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefit packages.
- Time to Recharge: Paid time off (PTO) and paid holiday schedule.
- Paid Training: Continuous, paid GM factory technical training to maximize your earning potential and keep your skills sharp.
- Relocation Assistance: Available for qualified, experienced candidates looking to move out of the metro core.
