Job Overview
The Duct Cleaning Technician is responsible for cleaning HVAC ductwork, dryer vents, and air handling systems to enhance indoor air quality and system efficiency. This role involves working in customer homes, utilizing specialized tools and equipment to remove dust, debris, and allergens from air ducts.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of air ducts, vents, and HVAC systems using specialized tools and vacuum equipment.
- Inspect and assess ductwork for contamination, mold, and debris buildup.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including setup and breakdown of cleaning equipment.
- Communicate with customers about the benefits of duct cleaning and explain the process before beginning work.
- Identify and report any issues with ductwork or HVAC systems to the appropriate department.
- Follow company procedures and safety guidelines to protect both customers and team members.
- Provide excellent customer service by being professional, courteous, and respectful in all interactions.
- Complete service documentation, including work orders and reports, using company software.
- Assist with minor maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC components if needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in duct cleaning, HVAC, or related field, training will be provided.
- Ability to operate and maintain duct cleaning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift equipment, work in tight spaces, and climb ladders.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
