<Job Summary>

<Duties>
- Support patients through individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and behavioral management strategies.
- Assist in conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including intake evaluations, diagnostic coding (ICD-9, ICD-10), and behavioral health screenings.
- Implement crisis intervention protocols to de-escalate situations safely and effectively, ensuring patient and staff safety at all times.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and modify personalized treatment plans that incorporate psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and addiction counseling when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment records, and behavioral observations in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in case management activities such as data collection, research initiatives, and outcome tracking to support continuous quality improvement.
- Provide family counseling sessions to promote understanding and support for patients’ recovery journeys.
- Assist with behavioral therapy techniques like applied behavior analysis (ABA) to address specific behavioral issues.
- Support patients during hospital stays or home & community care programs by monitoring progress and adjusting interventions accordingly.
- Engage in ongoing training related to crisis management, PTSD care, medical terminology, ICD coding updates, and new therapeutic approaches to enhance clinical skills.
<Experience>
- Prior experience working in behavioral health settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, or community programs is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in crisis management and crisis intervention techniques to handle acute mental health episodes confidently.
- Background in social work or clinical counseling with knowledge of addiction medicine and mental health counseling practices.
- Experience with diagnostic evaluation processes using ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) and CPT coding for documentation purposes.
- Familiarity with medical records management, HIPAA compliance standards, and medical terminology is essential.
- Hands-on experience delivering individual and group therapy sessions within diverse populations is advantageous.
