SUMMARY OBJECTIVE
This position will be responsible for set-up and operation of the powder coat booth. Must work in a timely and professional manner following company standards and best practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Lead the Powder Coating Department ensuring optimized output

Mentor powder coating staff and train staff on maintenance, cleanliness best practices

Responsible for a full range of specialized painting projects per customer and/or management request.

Prepare and powder a variety of surfaces including steel, aluminum and other shop coated metal, uncoated metal, finished hardware, accessories and other surfaces specified.

Apply protective powder coatings to items such as equipment and miscellaneous metalwork.

Must maintain equipment (preventative maintenance), and work in a safe manner.

Responsible for the storage and proper disposal of paint products.

Must be able to operate various tools and equipment necessary with powder-coating.

Maintaining and assisting with the overall cleanliness of the production area including mopping floors, trash clean up, scrap material preparation, taking out garbage, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Assisting in the unloading of trucks including boxes and light poles that will require team lifting.

Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED required.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in powder-coating is required.

Ability to maintain and troubleshoot powder coating machines to remain at optimal performance

Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.

Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time.

Able to lift 50 pounds independently.

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday and may include overtime and weekend work.
