POSITION SUMMARY: Oversees maintenance and repair of vehicles, machinery, and light trucks. Stocks and maintains all necessary parts and supplies. Works as a skilled mechanic.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducts regular maintenance on machinery systems and automotive vehicles. Assemble mechanical components according to specifications. Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems. Design a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and upgrades. Performs data entry to maintain logs, repairs, and maintenance records. Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary. Works as a linehandler. Performs other duties assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent. Must have aptitude and qualify as a skilled auto and light truck mechanic. Must have ability to keep records, purchase supplies and be capable of strenuous labor in all weather conditions. Must have 5 years’ experience as a skilled mechanic. Must be available for 24-hour callout. Must have valid Florida driver’s license.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Indoor/outdoor environment. Must be capable of strenuous labor in all weather conditions. Must be available for 24-hour call out. Must be able to lift equipment up to 50lbs alone and up to 100lbs with assistance
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
