Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager - Hotel Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our hospitality property. This pivotal role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong team management skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of hotel management systems. Responsibilities
- Oversee all facets of hotel operations, including front desk management, guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance.
- Lead and supervise hospitality teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences aligned with brand standards.
- Manage daily hotel operations budgets, including revenue management strategies and cost control initiatives.
- Utilize property management systems (PMS) and hospitality reservation systems to optimize booking processes and occupancy rates.
- Ensure compliance with hotel guest service standards, human resources policies, and safety regulations.
- Handle guest relations proactively, resolving issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Implement effective managerial communication across departments to promote teamwork and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate night audit procedures and oversee financial operations to ensure accuracy in billing and reporting.
- Develop staff training programs focused on customer service excellence, phone etiquette, multi-line phone systems, and front desk procedures.
- Monitor hotel performance metrics regularly to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
Requirements
- Proven supervisory experience within the hospitality industry, ideally in hotel or resort settings.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage hospitality teams effectively across multiple departments.
- Extensive knowledge of hotel management systems (PMS), property management software (PMS), and hospitality reservation platforms.
- Financial management experience including budgeting, revenue management, and managing hospitality operations budgets.
- Excellent communication skills in managerial contexts; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee daily hotel operations with a focus on guest services and satisfaction.
- Experience with human resources functions such as staff training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Familiarity with night audit procedures, front desk operations, multi-line phone systems, and phone etiquette.
- Resort experience or background in managing large-scale hospitality properties is preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
