Position Overview
Medical office of Dr. Tefera seeking a highly experienced Medical Assistant (2 or more years) who can step in and perform at a high level from day one. This role is for a self-sufficient, fast, and detail-oriented professional.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients; obtain vital signs and update medical histories
- Assist provider with exams, procedures, and in-office treatments
- Perform blood draws confidently
- Administer vaccines, injections, and perform point-of-care testing
- Handle specimen processing and lab coordination
- Maintain clean, fully stocked, and organized exam rooms
- Manage high-volume phone calls, scheduling, and Athena EMR documentation
- Support CDL exams, immigration (I-693) physicals, and related services
- Maintain inventory and ensure clinic flow is smooth and efficient
- Follow HIPAA and OSHA standards at all times
Strict Requirements
- 2 or more years of Medical Assistant experience (REQUIRED)
- Strong, hands-on experience with blood draws REQUIRED
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Athena EMR systems (REQUIRED)
