Mental Health & Substance Use Therapist
LSW, LISW, or LPC
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Highlife Recovery is seeking a licensed therapist to provide mental health and substance use disorder treatment at our Columbus location. This position is ideal for a clinician who is comfortable treating co-occurring conditions and working as part of a collaborative behavioral health team.
Responsibilities
- Complete biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Provide individual and group counseling for mental health and substance use disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable clinical goals.
- Complete ASAM assessments and level-of-care recommendations when applicable.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation.
- Demonstrate clear linkage between assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Monitor client progress and update treatment recommendations as clinically indicated.
- Coordinate care with medical providers, case managers, peer support staff, and outside providers.
- Participate in clinical supervision, treatment-team meetings, and quality-improvement activities.
- Maintain professional and ethical boundaries with clients and coworkers.
Qualifications
- Active Ohio license as an LSW, LISW, or LPC.
- Experience providing behavioral health counseling is preferred.
- Experience with substance use disorder or co-occurring treatment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to complete assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes within required timeframes.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Must be able to pass required background checks.

Schedule: Primarily daytime hours, with some evening availability potentially required
Compensation: Based on licensure, experience, and qualifications
