Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Community Driver to serve our local community by providing safe, efficient, and courteous transportation services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong driving background, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle various types of vehicles including shuttle buses, limousines, and paratransit vehicles. As a Community Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring community members reach their destinations comfortably and on time while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
Duties
- Operation of the community shuttle buses to transport community members safely and efficiently.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing exceptional customer service and support as needed.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance tasks to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety compliance.
- Load and unload heavy luggage or equipment with proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during daily operations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, passengers, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicles inside and out, ensuring a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- Class B License with Passenger Endorsement
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse community members.
- Experience handling heavy lifting tasks safely during loading or unloading processes.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures to identify issues early and ensure safety standards are met.
- Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or maps while maintaining punctuality.
