Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish preparation and presentation techniques.
- Handle food with care, following proper food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Support food preparation activities, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling dishes for service.
- Maintain organized workstations, ensuring all tools and ingredients are readily available for efficient meal production.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service, ensuring timely delivery of orders to guests or customers.
- Follow all food handling regulations and safety protocols diligently to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings; dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques across different cuisines.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, catering, or food service operations preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations.
