Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Server to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be the face of our restaurant, providing exceptional guest service while efficiently taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and assist with food and beverage selections based on their preferences.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling additional items like cocktails or wine.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, including bussing tables and supporting kitchen staff.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on beverages, spirits, wine pairings, and menu items to enhance guest experience.
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or casual dining environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of beverage service, including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods.
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling cash transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is desirable but not required.
