Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team at Advantage Metalwork. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of materials within our facility, ensuring efficient handling and processing of orders. Your contributions will be vital to maintaining our commitment to quality and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers as required.
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems to track stock levels.
- Pick orders accurately and prepare them for shipment or production use.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Utilize RF scanners to ensure accurate tracking of materials throughout the facility.
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Strong ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory management.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
