We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Assistant to join our team. As a Carpenter Assistant, you will assist in various construction and carpentry projects. This is a hands-on role that requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment. We specialize in kitchen, bathroom and basement remodels.
Duties:
- Assist carpenter with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
- Prepare work areas by removing debris and setting up equipment
- Operate power tools and hand tools under the guidance of experienced carpenter
- Assist with the installation of flooring, walls, ceilings, and other structures
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience in carpentry or construction is preferred
- Knowledge of power tools and their safe operation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed
