Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and reliable Low Boy and Dump Truck Drivers to join our team. In this role, you will operate specialized heavy-duty trucks designed for hauling oversized loads and construction materials, ensuring safe and efficient delivery to various sites. Your expertise will help keep projects on schedule while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate Low Boy trailers and Dump Trucks with precision, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards
- Load, secure, and unload materials using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary
- Drive route-specific deliveries, ensuring timely arrival at designated locations while following traffic laws and safety protocols
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation using mobile devices or onboard systems
- Communicate effectively with customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Follow safe lifting practices during manual handling tasks involving heavy or bulky materials
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including operating box trucks, heavy-duty trucks, or similar vehicles
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and weight handling in the workplace
- Delivery driver experience with a focus on customer service and professional communication skills
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely
- Experience with route driving using mobile devices for navigation and communication purposes
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, moving materials safely, and adhering to safe lifting practices
- 5 Year minimum driving history
