Rustic Roots Winery located in Scandia, MN is looking for experienced cooks to join our team. We are passionate about what we do and are looking for like-minded team players who are dedicated to their craft. Here at Rustic Roots, our goal each day is to provide an amazing guest experience through top-level hospitality. We are looking for new key members of the kitchen staff to help lead the team.
Position Overview
We have two kitchens (one full time and one seasonal) with changing menus and seasonal specials. Days typically start between 10 and 11 AM and end between 8 and 9PM with no late nights.
Part and full time positions available, flexible schedules, work with a fun team and enjoy a generous employee discount. Seasonal and year-round positions available.
Main Responsibilities
Must be willing to work in a team-focused kitchen with an all-hands-on-deck mentality. All kitchen employees will share responsibilities.
Take direction from the kitchen manager and follow task lists.
Execute menu items consistently to our standards.
Prep ingredients for the week ahead.
Work the line as part of a team or individually as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum age requirement 18 years old
Experience working in kitchens is preferred, but training is available.
Willingness and ability to show up and get the work done. Good character goes far here.
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, Servsafe certification preferred but not required.
Ability to partake in menu tasting and testing for future menu items and offer opinions.
Ability to follow a recipe and menu specification to keep a consistent product.
Ability to lift upwards of 50 lbs.
Ability to work with and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of detail.
Work independently and get the work done properly and quickly.
Must be able to work flexible schedule, which will include evenings, weekends and holiday weekends
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
