We are looking for a Service Technician – Vending & Micro-Market Equipment.

Buffalo Strive Vending Inc. is a locally owned, family-run company based in Orchard Park, NY. We provide fresh food vending, micro-markets, office coffee service, and workplace breakroom solutions throughout Western New York.

Position Overview.
As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of vending machines and micro-market equipment across our service locations.
This role includes installing equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, performing repairs, and providing excellent customer service while visiting customer locations.
This is an entry-level technician role with the opportunity to grow into a Senior Level Technician position based on work performance, reliability, and attendance.
Key Responsibilities.
- Install, set up, and configure vending machines at designated customer locations
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues including:
- Coin mechanisms
- Bill validators
- Dispensing mechanisms
- Refrigeration systems
- Repair or replace faulty machine components and parts
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain machines to Strive standards
- Collect and accurately account for cash and inventory during service visits
- Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs, parts usage, and inventory levels
- Provide excellent customer service while addressing questions or concerns from customers
- Work with the operations team to improve machine placement and product selection
- Stay up to date on new vending technology and service best practices
Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on operational needs.
Qualifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with vending machines, equipment repair, or mechanical service work preferred
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of mechanical/electrical components
- Ability to use hand tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals and diagrams
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and move equipment components as needed
- Availability for flexible work hours when needed
Physical Requirements.
This position includes physical activity and requires the ability to:
- Lift and move equipment and parts
- Push or pull carts and equipment
- Stand, bend, and reach frequently
- Perform service work in customer environments
