Pirtek is hiring for a Shop Technician to service, assemble, and install hydraulic and industrial hoses for a diverse customer base, while maintaining the shop location to ensure it is clean, organized, and in working order. We are looking for highly driven and self-sufficient individuals with excellent communication and customer service skills. Our most successful Technicians:

Hydraulic and industrial hose experience is required! Each Hose Assembly & Installation Technician is provided training on industry knowledge, PIRTEK processes, safety standards, and how to operate your purpose-built mobile service unit. PIRTEK also provides ongoing support through a 24/7 hotline for Technicians to ask technical questions.
Job Description
Responsibilities
· Adhere to all industry and PIRTEK safety standards
· Greet customers & field the phone line
· Handle inbound & outbound shipments/ deliveries
· Maintain the shop, tools, and equipment so they are clean, organized, and in working order
· Keep product inventory organized
· Identify faulty hoses and/ or hose assemblies before fabricating a proper replacement, according to the customers’ needs
· May be required to remove worn or broken hoses from customer machinery
· Input service details into the online database to create accurate invoices
· Develop relationships with new and existing customers
· Ensure customer satisfaction through outstanding service; Escalate issues to the Operations Manager when needed
· Perform other related duties as assigned
Work Environment
You will be operating out of a PIRTEK Service & Supply Center.
· Warehouse/ Shop environment
· You will be exposed to loud noise,
· You will come in contact with oil, grease, lubricants, and other “messy” substances
· You may be required to travel for training initiatives, at no cost to you
Skills & Abilities Needed
· Sit, stand, kneel, bend, and/or stoop from moderate to extended periods
· Safely use ladders, step-ups, stairs, etc.
· Mechanically inclined – consistent use of hand tools & specialized equipment is required
· Good communication skills (verbal and written)
· Self-motivated & positive attitude through difficult jobs
· Able to work individually and as a team
· Lift up to 50 pounds
· This position requires Saturday work from 8am - 12pm
Qualifications
· High School diploma or GED
· Driver’s License with clean driving record
· Experience in industrial development & construction, automobile/ marine/ field mechanics, or a related industry is a plus
· Ability to pass an employment physical / drug screening
· Positive, can-do attitude

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
