We're a growing trucking company looking for a sharp, hands-on coordinator to help run daily operations. This is not an admin role. You'll own driver recruiting, weekly settlements, factoring submissions, and financial record-keeping, working directly with the CEO.
If you're organized, good with numbers, comfortable on the phone, and don't need to be reminded twice, this is for you. Trucking or transportation experience is strongly preferred.
What You'll Do
Driver Recruiting (top priority)
- Source and screen company drivers and owner-operators through Indeed, social media, referrals, and recruiting platforms
- Post and manage job ads; respond fast to applicants and inquiries
- Run phone screens, collect required documents (CDL, medical card, MVR, employment history), and coordinate background checks and drug testing
- Keep a clean recruiting pipeline from application to hire, and follow up until candidates convert
- Schedule orientation, coordinate truck assignments, and maintain complete driver personnel files
Operations Support
- Communicate daily with drivers, dispatchers, brokers, and vendors to resolve issues
- Track maintenance requests, repairs, and breakdowns through to completion
- Maintain accurate truck, trailer, and driver records: registrations, permits, insurance, inspections
- Chase down missing paperwork: signed rate confirmations, BOLs, delivery documents
Billing, Factoring & Settlements
- Submit invoices to the factoring company with correct supporting documents
- Track every invoice from submission to funding; resolve rejections, short pays, and delays
- Reconcile factoring statements, fees, and chargebacks
- Prepare weekly settlements for company drivers and owner-operators (revenue, pay, fuel, tolls, deductions)
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and fuel accounts; manage AP/AR
- Flag duplicate, missing, or incorrect transactions
What You Need
- Bookkeeping, accounting, recruiting, or transportation experience
- QuickBooks Online (or similar) and strong Excel/Sheets skills
- Experience recruiting, interviewing, or onboarding
- Sharp attention to detail with money, and the discipline to keep documentation clean
- Ability to juggle deadlines and work independently
- Must be able to work in person in the Columbus, Ohio area
Nice to Have
- Trucking, freight, or logistics background
- Experience recruiting CDL drivers or owner-operators
- Familiarity with rate confirmations, BOLs, detention/accessorials, and DOT driver qualification files
- Experience with Tenstreet, Driver Pulse, Airtable, or similar platforms
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
