Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assess their vehicle service needs with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Prepare detailed estimates using estimating software, ensuring accuracy and transparency for clients
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, shocks & struts, to maximize customer satisfaction and revenue
- Coordinate with technicians to facilitate efficient vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures.
- Write clear and comprehensive service reports and work orders while maintaining excellent client communication throughout the process
- Manage service department operations including cash handling, appointment scheduling, and ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Support shops goals by promoting automotive repair services confidently and professionally
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive service environments with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients of all backgrounds
- Proficiency in estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Mechanical knowledge of oil change procedures, wheel alignments, suspension systems, tire services, shocks & struts, and brake systems, processes
- Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Experience in auto service management or service writing roles preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cash handling and record keeping
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving various vehicle types is beneficial
