EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Essential functions may include, but are not limited to the functions listed below) Participate in the planning, prioritizing and supervision of staff responsible for golf course maintenance and operations. Participate in the development of policies and procedures; monitor work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures; make recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards and procedures. Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives; implement approved policies and procedures. Establish schedules and methods for providing golf course maintenance and construction services; identify and review resource needs with the Golf Course Supervisor; allocate resources accordingly. Perform the more technical and complex tasks of the work unit including the application of golf course turf chemicals and assisting in the implementation of the irrigation program. Inspect golf course facilities and work of technical staff; ensure accuracy of work performed and the adherence of safe work practices and procedures. Supervise and assist in the service and repair of golf course maintenance and chemical application equipment. Assist in the selection, training and evaluation of technical personnel; assist in providing technical staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies.SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS: Attend and participate in professional group meetings; stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of golf course operations and maintenance. Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

Environmental: Field environment; exposure to noise, dust, dirt, fumes, grease, oils, toxic chemicals; inclement weather conditions; work around maintenance equipment.Physical: Essential and supplemental functions may require physical condition necessary for sitting, standing or walking for prolonged periods of time; operating motorized equipment and vehicles.
