Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled truck driver with mechanical experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting various construction materials and equipment safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of various truck types, including flatbed, step deck, low bed, and oversize equipment. The truck driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the truck.
- Arrive on-time to start times.
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely delivery materials and equipment.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Knowledge surrounding how to load and unload cargo using forklifts or other equipment preferred.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and fuel consumption.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, other team members, and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit.
- Must be able to conduct self in a professional manner while representing the company.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate class A endorsement.
- Must pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy. Employee will be subjected to random drug test upon hire.
- Minimal two year experience in truck driving with at least three reputable references (they will be called prior to hire offer).
- Mechanical knowledge required.
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle.
- Must be able to load and transport using flat beds, low beds, step deck, landolls, dump trailers, and van trailers.
- Ability to operate forklifts and knowledge surrounding various construction equipment (ex: aerial lifts, dirt equipment, cranes, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to safety practices and maintaining a professional demeanor on the road.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
