The Flying Point Foundation for Autism is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that supports autistic individuals and their families through programs, events, and fundraising.
Each year, we hold a two-week, end-of-summer recreation program for children with autism alongside their typically developing siblings and peers.
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and enthusiastic licensed medical professional (MDs, RNs, NPs, LPNs, PAs, EMTs) to join our Medical Team for the two weeks,
DATES: August 17, 2026 to August 28, 2026 (Mon-Fri, 8:30am-2:30pm).
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assess children and staff medical needs
- Apply first aid for minor injuries and ailments when applicable
- Know which children have allergies or medical conditions that may require support during program hours
- Administer prescription and over-the-counter medications to children (with a signed doctor note with instructions) and staff as needed
- Effectively communicate with parents, children, staff, and co-workers
- Ability to take initiative, make decisions, and be a team player
- Direct Reports to: Program Director
Job Details include
- Tuition discount is available for employees with children aged 6-21
Key Qualifications:
- Current medical license and First Aid/CPR certification. Nurses are required to be licensed in the State of NY.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
