Position Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality.
The Human Resources Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for employees, applicants, interns, and volunteers and plays an important role in supporting recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and personnel record management.
Essential Job Functions
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Administer employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Coordinate the annual Open Enrollment process
- Coordinate intern and volunteer application and onboarding processes
- Assist with recruitment activities, including posting positions and communicating with applicants
- Schedule interviews and coordinate the interview process
- Coordinate new employee onboarding and employee offboarding
- Process employment-related background checks and pre-employment requirements
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files and HR records
- Assist with HR compliance, documentation, and reporting
- Provide excellent customer service to employees and applicants
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Minimum Qualifications/Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
Experience
- Two (2) years of experience performing human resources-related duties preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience working in a community-based human services organization or related setting preferred.
