This is a hands-on industrial maintenance mechanic role on night shift in a manufacturing/printing facility. This position is best suited for someone with strong mechanical troubleshooting skills who is comfortable working independently overnight in a production environment.
The Role
BPG USA is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support overnight operations at our Berryville, VA facility. You’ll be responsible for responding to equipment breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement efforts to keep production running safely and efficiently.
This is a plant-floor role, not a general facilities or light maintenance position.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to mechanical equipment breakdowns during night shift
- Troubleshoot and repair production and plant equipment
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document completed work
- Coordinate maintenance activities with other shifts for smooth handoffs
- Research and order parts needed for timely repairs
- Participate in project and improvement work during non-emergency periods
- Perform fabrication and welding as needed
- Support safe equipment operation and follow OSHA and company safety standards
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Experience as an industrial or manufacturing maintenance mechanic
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication systems, and mechanical drives
- Comfortable using precision tools and measuring instruments
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail
Preferred (Not Required):
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Experience mentoring or training other mechanics
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
Schedule & Work Environment
- Shift: Night shift – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Schedule: 2-2-3 rotation (every other weekend off)
- Environment: Industrial manufacturing/printing facility
