Join our dynamic team as a Temporary Host, where your energy and enthusiasm will set the tone for an exceptional guest experience. In this lively role, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and diners, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guests to return time and again. Your friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and ability to multitask will be essential as you manage reservations, greet guests, and coordinate seating arrangements with efficiency and warmth. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop hospitality skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to a memorable customer journey.
Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable from the moment they walk in
- Manage reservation bookings and waitlists.
- Coordinate with the service team to assign tables efficiently, considering guest preferences and party sizes
- Answer guest inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and clear communication
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to uphold a welcoming environment
- Assist with guest seating, ensuring smooth transitions between tables and minimal wait times
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, enhancing overall satisfaction
Skills
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a positive, energetic attitude
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Experience in hospitality or hotel guest services enhances your ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations best practices
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal skills to foster a welcoming atmosphere
